ScanForRescue is a pet identification project operated personally by Guy Desbiens in Ontario, Canada. It is not an incorporated company. PawID is the name used within the application.

Need help with your pet or tag?

Email desbiens329@gmail.com. Include the page or tag link and a brief description. Never send your password, API key or sign-in verification code.

Access, correction or deletion

You can edit pet information in My Pets and stop a public profile by retiring its tag in QR Tags. For an account-data copy, removal of finder information, or complete account deletion, send a privacy request. Use the email associated with your account where possible. We will verify ownership before changing or disclosing private information.

This opens your email application; the request is sent only after you send the email. Deleting an account also ends access to its profiles and connected tags. Do not delete your sign-in account separately while a cleanup request is pending.

Safety and accessibility

ScanForRescue is not monitored as an emergency service. If a person or animal is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or animal service. If a page is difficult to use with assistive technology, tell us what happened and we will help with an alternative.
